Just because we can and because that makes it fun, we will now be hosting a "Book of the Week" to highlight books we have published over the years which you may not know about. Starting with the first book published by Avalonia, The Guises of the Morrigan (2005) followed by the rest of the catalogue in luck of the draw order to make it fair and add a bit more excitement to the process!

"The Guises of the Morrigan," authored by David Rankine and Sorita d'Este, explores the multifaceted and enigmatic Celtic goddess known as the Morrigan. Drawing from historical sources, mythology, and their own research, the authors delve into the various aspects and roles that the Morrigan embodies within Celtic tradition. The book sheds light on the complex nature of the Morrigan, who is often associated with war, sovereignty, and prophecy. It delves into her appearances in Irish mythology, where she is depicted as a shape-shifting figure and a guardian of the land. The authors analyze her roles as a warrior goddess, a harbinger of destiny, and a divine figure intertwined with the cycles of life and death.

Through a combination of historical references and personal insights, Rankine and d'Este offer readers a deeper understanding of the Morrigan's significance and her relevance in modern spirituality. The book not only explores her ancient roots but also discusses how her archetypal energy can be embraced and worked with by individuals seeking connection and empowerment.

Overall, "The Guises of the Morrigan" provides a comprehensive exploration of the goddess's many forms and attributes, offering readers a valuable resource for anyone interested in Celtic mythology, goddess spirituality, and the mystical aspects of the Morrigan.
